Three major China-based handset solution providers, TechFaith Wireless, SIM Technology and Longcheer Group, have all posted profits for 2008, according to financial reports released by the companies.
TechFaith
- a profit of US$8 million, or US$0.18 per share, a loss of US$3.3 million, or US$0.08 per share, in 2007.
- revenues climb 45.6% to US$208.9 million
SIM
- net profits of HK$144 million (US$18.56 million), or HK$0.095 per share, in 2008company data showed. decline of 40.3%
SIM's gross margin stood at 12.84% in 2008, a drop of 1.33 percentage points from 2007.
Longcheer
- net profit of 121 million yuan (US$17.7 million) for the first half of fiscal 2009 (from July-December 2008), down 36% from a year earlier period.
